The Leeton FFA held their banquet Tuesday May 9th in the big gym. They had a great year where they rewarded many members for their success. The Star Greenhand was Emily Purinton. The Outstanding Sophomore was awarded to Jillian Mudd. Chezney Early received Star in Agribusiness and Grant Harper received Star Chapter Farmer. Grant Harper and Vanessa Embree were both awarded the 1st annual Bob Grainger Scholarship. This scholarship was created this year as Bob's wife contacted the FFA and wanted to do scholarships in honor of Bob. Bob was very active in the FFA when he was in school so she wanted to provide something helpful to the students who are involved as much as Bob was. We thank her for her curiosity and thinking about our local FFA. The FFA awarded many other members for their success and had a great finish to the year.
