Game Cancelation
The countdown to summer has begun! And to add a little fun spin on our last 10 days together, we've planned special activities for our kiddos! Day 10 was joke day (the kids didn't think many of my jokes were funny, but they sure got into the "canned laughter"). Day 9 we decorated book marks that had some good summer reading ideas on the back!
It was Book Blast delivery day and it did not disappoint!!! All of our students went home with books for their home libraries thanks to donations by supporters like YOU!! Thank you for helping to support our students as readers!

🧬🐤 Battle of the Beaks! 🐤🧬
Last week, our Biology I students traveled (figuratively!) to the Galápagos Islands to explore evolution in action with the Darwin Beak Lab! Using tweezers, clothespins, plastic forks, and binder clips as their “beaks,” students discovered how different bird beaks are adapted to specific food sources—just like Darwin observed! 🍽️
Their "bird food"? A wild buffet of rubber bands, toothpicks, pinto beans, macaroni, and paper clips! 😄 Students rotated through beaks and food sources, collecting data along the way, then competed as bird groups to grab as much food as possible in a survival-style challenge. 💪📊
The activity wrapped up with graphing, analyzing their findings, and answering reflection questions to bring it all together. Hands-on learning meets science fun—just the way we like it! 🧠✨
