📢 Annual Career Fair Recap! 🚀
Yesterday, our students in grades 6-12 had an incredible opportunity to explore their futures at our annual Career Fair! 🎓🔧🚔💼
We were honored to host representatives from colleges, universities, trade schools, the military, local manufacturing, banks, and law enforcement agencies. Students engaged in meaningful conversations, asked great questions, and even networked for future opportunities—some even walked away with job applications in hand!
Events like these help our students see the many paths available to them after graduation. A huge THANK YOU to all of the businesses, organizations, and schools that took the time to invest in our students’ futures! 👏

Upcoming Events - 3/28-4/5
4th grade is one of the funnest places to be! We try to have a life long learning lessons from the time we show up to the time we leave. Here is just a small glimpse in Mrs. Tribble’s 4th grade room!
We always start our day out with a hello, quick check in, and some iReady time. Some weeks we do science with projects, and sometimes we talk about the road to the revolution for our social studies time! Then for math we usually always work a group and our book, but sometimes we try to use technology as a bonus help master a concept.
After working hard it’s time for recess, specials, and lunch!
Once we come back from lunch we usually switch with Ms. Tackett for some ELA time, but on Fridays we have a learning project or a reward if it’s a bit test week!
One Friday we made tents and watched a movie after a morning and part of the afternoon testing. Today we had a poetry cafe! The Starbucks at UCM donated cups for us to use for our “coffee.” Don’t worry it was chocolate milk with whipped cream! We shared our own poems while we enjoyed the ambiance of a cafe back drop with some jazz music!
It was a blast!

Leeton R-X School District Welcomes New Elementary Principal, Heidi Treuner
Leeton, MO – The Leeton R-X School District is proud to announce the hiring of Heidi Treuner as the new Elementary Principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Treuner was officially approved by the Board of Education at their March meeting and will begin transitioning into her new role later this spring.
Ms. Treuner brings a strong background in education and leadership. A graduate of Central Methodist University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2019. In 2023, she completed her Master’s in Educational Leadership K-12 from Northwest Missouri State University.
For the past six years, Treuner has served at Green Ridge R-VIII School District, gaining experience in both elementary instruction and extracurricular leadership. She began her career as a first-grade teacher and junior high cheer coach, and most recently taught second grade. In addition, she served as the high school cheer coach for five years and assistant girls basketball coach for four years.
Beyond the classroom, Treuner has led several building-level initiatives. She has been instrumental in the implementation of behavior interventions and has contributed to curriculum development at the elementary level. For the past three years, she has also taken on a leadership role in developing the school calendar for Green Ridge.
“I am incredibly excited to join the Leeton School District and community,” said Treuner. “I look forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff, and contributing to the positive school culture and family-like atmosphere that Leeton is known for. GO BULLDOGS!”
Originally from Sedalia, Missouri, Ms. Treuner values the strong family and community ties that have shaped her journey. She is the daughter of Andrew and Mary Treuner, who remain active in the Sedalia community.
Superintendent Adam Easterwood shared, “We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Treuner to the Bulldog family. Her enthusiasm, diverse experience, and passion for student success make her a great fit for our district.”
